Cosmetics Unmasked - Marketing: Myths and Magic

This chapter dispels the myths spread by advertisements for cosmetics and toiletries and spells out the plain truth about what these products can and cannot do. It sets out the techniques used by the marketing industry to promote and sell these products and looks into the laws and the lack of laws regulating the advertisements. It explains what is meant by the claims to be "Natural" and "Hypo-allergenic" and why manufacturers resort to adding unnecessary ingredients such as proteins and vitamins, to their products.
